Job Title: HR Business Partner, MPCG
Department:   Human Resources
Reports to: Director

 

MAIN FUNCTION OF JOB:

The main function of this role is to provide pragmatic commercial Human Resource advice to existing and prospective clients. The role will support clients with their strategic business goals – developing structure, systems, culture, values and their people.

Advice will primarily be provided remotely and through onsite meetings with clients.   The role provides flexible HR support for effective service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

 

1       Develop the portfolio of Clients and act as their account manager involving other MPCG staff as necessary

2       Provide named consultant HR support to MPCG ‘s “entrustHR” Clients

3       Advise on people management issues and lead on implementation of effective actions and remedies.

4       Provide consultancy support on all areas of employee relations and good HR practice.

5       Advise on UK employment law, policy and processes.

6       Guide clients on remuneration and job evaluation initiatives.

7        Mentor / coach managers as required.

8       Guide and implement learning and development activities.

9       Deliver recruitment assignments from initial meeting to final appointment.

10    Build effective relationships with local employers, promoting MPCG’s services and encouraging potential clients to contract.

11    Attend marketing and networking events as required.

12    Coordinate MPCG HR Advisor and administration as required.

13    Work effectively with other MPCG team members.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Essential

Effective management of recruitment and selection  processes

Previous practical experience as HR generalist both tactical and strategic

L&D experience with ability to facilitate and lead development workshops

Good commercial acumen

Personal impact through presentation and interpersonal skills

Coaching and mentoring experience

Strong leadership skills and relationship management

Excellent working knowledge and application of UK employment law

Strong communication skills, written and verbal

Self-motivated and ability to work under pressure / to client deadlines

Good working knowledge with Microsoft Office and HR systems

Analytics and problem solving for evaluating business metrics and trends

Ability to work flexibly and travel to client sites

Desirable

Previous consultancy skills or worked at senior business level

HR systems and software experience – ideally ‘BreatheHR’

Recruitment social media skills

Proposal and contract writing experience

Relevant specialist human resources experience within a growing SME business

·        Psychometric Testing and Personality Profile administration and interpretation

 

QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING
Essential

·        Educated to degree standard or equivalent

·        Chartered member of CIPD; Level 5 (min) Level 7     (ideal) or equivalent

  • Experience of using social media for recruitment and HR activity
  • Experience of HR digital systems
  • Accredited for psychometric testing and personality questionnaires
  • Management Development training
  • Specialist HR knowledge
