Meet Bob Bell
Managing Consultant/Director Tel: 01782 382250 Email: bob.bell@mpcg.co.uk From a background in teaching, I entered the textile industry firstly as a Training Officer before progressing to Personnel Manager of a warp knitting plant in Northern Ireland. Following this, I moved to a divisional HQ of Carrington Viyella as Personnel Executive, having responsibility for servicing six manufacturing sites in the East of England. I joined Michelin Tyres in 1980 and, after working in France, held HR Management posts in the Belfast and Ballymena sites before coming to Stoke as Group Employee Relations Manager. In 1996, I was appointed Director of Personnel in the UK and, in 1998, for Northern Europe. Having founded MPCG as a division of Michelin in 1993, I continued to have responsibility as Managing Consultant for the Division. In leading the Management buyout in 2002, I have been Managing Consultant/Director for MPCG Limited for 7 years and, following re-organisation and renaming of the HR and Business Process Change Services to MPCG Business Solutions Limited, I have increased my delivery of solutions to client organisations which is something I enjoy. Externally, I am a Fellow of Chartered Institute of Personnel and development and have been past Chairman of the North Staffs/South Cheshire Branch and past Chairman of the Chartered Management Institute Branch. As a previous external examiner for CIPD courses I am Professional Advisor in HR at Staffordshire University and I have just completed my 2 years as Chairman of finest the Professional Firms Sector forum. I am also involved in various employer forums Married with two grown up children I enjoy theatre and gardening. I am a Trustee Director of the new Vic Theatre in Newcastle under Lyme and active in the management of church affairs and of youth work as a member of a PCC |
